Overseas Adventure Travel to Launch 4 New Adventures in 2016--All Offer Free Single Supplements
BOSTON, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Overseas Adventure Travel, the leader in small groups on the road less traveled, will introduce four new adventures in 2016, announced OAT President Joe Cali today. The new adventures to Northern Greece, Albania & Macedonia; Chile; New Zealand; and Spain & Portugal arrive on the heels of nine OAT adventures launched in 2015 and bring the number of small group, soft adventure offerings for Americans over 50 to 48—up from 35 in 2014. Single Supplements are free to accommodate OAT's growing solo traveler segment.
"We are excited about our new itineraries because they explore destinations that were at the top of our travelers' lists when we surveyed them earlier this year," said Cali. "These adventures will connect travelers with local people, communities and cultures and provide a unique and intimate look into some fascinating countries."
OAT's appeal to Americans over 50 begins with its small group size of just 10-16 by land or 10-24 by Small Ship, which provides travelers with access to homes, schools, markets, and other places where locals convene. A dedicated OAT Trip Leader, resident of the country visited, leads each group, sharing insight into an area's history, politics, arts and culture, nature and more and providing travelers with an authentic, nuanced, and in-depth understanding of a destination. Because cost is an important consideration, OAT offers excellent value—with per diems that typically are $300-$500 less than competitor prices. To serve the growing number of solo travelers—who now represent 40% of all OAT travelers, OAT offers Free Single Supplements on all its adventures, including all optional pre-and-post trip extensions.
The following briefly describes OAT's four new adventures for 2016:

According to the 2010 U.S. Census, 94 million Americans are over the age of 50, while more than 12,500 Americans turn 50 every day.
