CHANGZHOU, China, Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Opened nine years ago, Huaxia Arts Expo Park, located in Changzhou National Hi-Tech District, has gathered over 40 arts and crafts companies and masters' studios, including ten firms and studios that have received government recognition at the national or provincial level, to showcase China's intangible cultural heritage, the highlights of which include random stitch embroidery, carved bamboo with light color relief, combs, painting, pyrography , wood carving and so on.
The park is currently focused on promoting its brand image as an institution with distinct regional characteristics covering a wide range of themes and topics.
In 2014, Huaxia Arts Expo Park was named as a national AAA tourist attraction, a high designation based on the rating system used by the China National Tourism Administration to determine the quality of the attraction relative to its peers. The Yandang River Water Conservancy Scenic Spot, which houses the park, was granted the national-level rating in 2016. The China Academy of Art was recently appointed by the park as the planner, designer and curator of the renovated Xuejia Center Primary School and Xuejia Center Plaza.
With a focus on an improved layout and upgrades to include all services and functions normally expected with such a complex with a focus on highlighting the park's unique features, Huaxia Arts Expo Park plans to add several new facilities: two thoroughfares - a street displaying Chinese cultural artifacts, named Five Color City Culture Street and a street reflecting European styles and customs, dubbed Mini-Europe Culture Street, two centers with a focus on human resources education and the raising of awareness of the importance of Chinese culture and traditions - the Talent Training Center and the Cultural Creativity Center, as well as three zones housing buildings with a focus on a specific yet broad theme - the Industry Cluster Zone, the Travel and Leisure Zone and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Zone.
The park plans to spread the word about the existence of the new complex as well as the features that distinguish it from peers by widening its footprint in the cultural and travel sectors. Huaxia Arts Expo Park will also establish an entrepreneurship platform focused on innovation and serving as a cultural creativity workshop and marketplace as well as a trade and auction shop with the aim of expanding the scope of the park's activities.
