"Cox was pleased to host these electronic recycling events. This initiative is in direct support of our own Cox Conserves commitment to preserve and protect the environment," said Leigh Woisard, Cox Vice President of Public Affairs. "At these events, there were literally truck loads of old electronics that were collected. Without those events, much of that electronic waste could have been improperly disposed of, further harming our environment."
The electronic waste recycling event was held in partnership with Synergy Recycling as well as several other regional partners to include the City of Chesapeake, George Mason University, and 1-800 Got Junk.
In Hampton Roads and Roanoke, Synergy Recycling continues to offer free pick-up of electronic waste from businesses through May 31st. To make a collection appointment, businesses should contact Synergy Recycling at [email protected].
