Outten & Golden LLP: Litigator Peter Romer-Friedman Joins the Firm
NEW YORK and WASHINGTON, Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire -- Peter Romer-Friedman, a litigator with an extraordinary combination of employment and public interest law experience, has joined Outten & Golden LLP as Counsel. He will be working both in the District of Columbia and in New York.

Mr. Romer-Friedman has litigated, developed, supervised and settled dozens of employment discrimination, wage theft, veterans' rights, credit discrimination, fair housing, disability rights, Title VII, parental leave, LGBTQ rights, and public accommodations cases.
He joins Outten & Golden from the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights & Urban Affairs, where he was Deputy Director of Litigation. He previously litigated employment and civil rights matters at Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll, PLLC in Washington. He served as labor counsel for Sen. Edward Kennedy on the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, and as legislative representative for the United Steelworkers of America.
A finalist for Public Justice's Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2011, Mr. Romer-Friedman has been a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" for the past three years. He is an adjunct law professor at Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Romer-Friedman graduated with honors from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and received his law degree from Columbia Law School. He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia and before many federal District Courts (the District of Columbia, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Northern District of Illinois, and the District of Colorado) and Circuit Courts (the District of Columbia Circuit and the Ninth and Sixth Circuits).
