SEATTLE, Nov. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Outreach, the system of action for sales teams, today announced the addition of Sarah Imbach to its Board of Directors, as well as the appointment of Matt Millen to SVP of revenue operations and Katie Doyle to VP of marketing. The addition of this seasoned group of executives represents a new phase of growth for Outreach as the company continues expanding its customer-base in the enterprise market and increases its international presence. The depth of industry expertise and enterprise acumen brought by each executive will help build on Outreach's already strong foundation, having recently secured $17.5 million in Series B funding and new customer wins like Pandora, CenturyLink, Zillow and Glassdoor.
"2016 has already proven to be a wildly successful year for us, and the addition of Sarah, Matt and Katie fuel-injects our existing powerhouse executive team," said Manuel Medina, cofounder and CEO of Outreach. "Each of these executives bring a wealth of knowledge and domain expertise that will help us continue to grow and scale our business. We're entering a phase of fast-growth that requires nimble and smart decision-making to close business, and stay ahead of customer needs and market demands. This world-class leadership team will be heads down and focused on guiding Outreach to be a must-have, staple technology for sales teams everywhere."
A well-known veteran in the Internet start-up community, Imbach joins Outreach's Board of Directors following more than six years as an angel investor and advisor for local tech startups in Seattle. Before relocating to the Pacific Northwest, Imbach held back-to-back executive positions in Silicon Valley at LinkedIn and PayPal, where she held various positions overseeing revenue activities and managing business-critical operations. As an early investor and believer in Outreach, Imbach will continue to work closely with the leadership team to help the company scale and exceed the next tier of goals.
"Outreach was my first Seattle angel investment, and that decision came with a rigorous review of the company and its technology – looking back, it was one of the best decisions I've made," said Imbach. "Manny and the other founders embody all the critical characteristics that make up a rock star team, like talent, intelligence, interest in going big, and the grit to get through the inevitable challenges of running a start-up. I'm continually impressed with the team's aggressive push towards excellence and ability to respond to road bumps faster and more honestly than is often seen at this stage of a company."
Millen joins Outreach after more than five years as T-Mobile's vice president of business sales, where he led national sales teams and strategy for the business division. Previously, Millen was vice president of sales for Anthony "Tony" Robbins Companies, responsible for driving sales and owning the entire customer experience. Earlier, at Gateway Computers, Millen grew the small and medium business division as vice president and general manager. As senior vice president of revenue and operations at Outreach, Millen will maximize company growth, revenue and profits by scaling customer-facing teams and sales operations, and partner with marketing.
"I made the decision to join Outreach based on the impact the product makes on sales teams. As a long-time sales executive, my teams and I have been bogged down by inefficiencies in the sales process. After seeing what the Outreach platform could do, I had to be a part of this sales revolution," said Millen. "Manny and his team have created something special that changes the game and no other sales technology is close. The future for this company is bright and every member of this company is committed to driving productivity back into sales organizations."
With over 15 years of enterprise software marketing experience, Doyle is signing on as vice president of marketing for Outreach. Already established in the sales technology industry, Doyle served as director of product marketing for Salesforce where she oversaw the Pardot, the company's marketing automation software. During her tenure with the CRM leader, Doyle was instrumental in making Pardot the fastest growing marketing automation solution in its category, and the fastest growing business unit within Salesforce. Doyle also held leadership roles at MuleSoft and Guidewire, and spent seven years at IBM, working her way up from software engineer to product marketing manager. At Outreach, Doyle will focus on pushing Outreach's 'system-of-action' narrative toward the larger enterprise market and helping the company expand its business value messages globally.
"Coming from Salesforce, I understand both the strengths and weaknesses of CRM systems and how valuable and complementary Outreach is for sales executives on the front lines," said Doyle. "The systems sales reps have been using don't help them work more efficiently, better connect with prospects, or sell more effectively. That's where Outreach comes in, and how Manny and the team have been able to build such an impressive customer list so quickly. We're solving a massive problem for salespeople and our customers are seeing tremendous ROI. I can't wait to see what happens when we throw marketing into the mix - it'll be like throwing fuel on the fire."
