Outland Energy Services Awarded Wind Farm Maintenance Contract by Alliant Energy
CANBY, Minn., Dec. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliant Energy has awarded Outland Energy Services a three-year contract to provide scheduled maintenance services and remote monitoring at the 68-megawatt Cedar Ridge wind farm in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The wind farm is owned by Alliant Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary, Wisconsin Power and Light Company.
The wind farm began commercial operation in December, 2008. Outland will begin performing scheduled maintenances in the first quarter of 2012. Each of the Vestas V82 wind turbines at the wind farm has a nameplate capacity of 1.65 megawatts. Together, the forty-one turbines produce enough clean renewable energy to power 17,000 Wisconsin homes each year.
