OTI and University of California Sign Procurement Services Contract
PLEASANT HILL, Calif., Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- OTI, a Bay-area master systems integrator and building controls contractor, today announces it has entered into a new procurement services contract with the University of California Office of the President (UCOP). The five-year contract streamlines the purchasing process for facilities maintenance at each of the 10 campuses and five health systems included in the UC network.
"UCOP was looking for a strategic partner to be transparent across the organization for our building automation and facilities maintenance procurement needs," said Adrian Ferreira, Commodity Manager for UCOP. "We were impressed with OTI's building systems integration capabilities, and their building controls parts expertise."
"OTI has extensive experience integrating and supporting universities throughout California," said OTI President Brian Turner. "Universities are on the forefront of energy management upgrades and building automation retrofits and the UC system is often leading the pack for the rest of the country. OTI is looking forward to helping each of the universities and health systems achieve their building automation system upgrade and procurement goals."
Additionally, as a result of the UC system's collaborative working relationship with the California State University (CSU) and California Community College (CCC), purchasing departments at CSU/CCC can benefit from the OTI/UCOP agreement as well.
