Orthopaedic & Spine Center Hosts Community Lecture on Regenerative Medicine
OSC's Dr. Raj Sureja explains the advantages of stem cell and platelet therapy during an interactive discussion Tuesday, July 21st
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., July 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Join Orthopaedic & Spine Center physician, Dr. Raj Sureja, on July 21st at 7:00pm for OSC's Community Lecture. The interactive discussion will focus on Regenerative Medicine: stem-cell and platelet therapy. The event will take place at Orthopaedic & Spine Center, 250 Nat Turner Boulevard in Newport News.
Raj N. Sureja, MD is a Fellowship-trained, Board-Certified, Interventional Pain Management Specialist who will explain how Regenerative Medicine uses the body's own healing power to repair injury and diseased tissue. Using stem cell and platelet therapy, damaged cartilage, torn ligaments and tendons, and compromised spinal discs can be repaired and function can be restored, while simultaneously providing pain relief for patients, without surgery.
"We are excited to be able to offer these innovative treatments to the Hampton Roads area at our new Center for Regenerative Medicine," said Dr. Sureja. "Now we are focused on educating people about the benefits of these extremely promising therapies, as alternatives to surgery."
Regenerative Medicine provides patients an effective treatment option for athletic injuries, for those who cannot, or choose not to have surgery, and also for those looking to explore all treatment options before deciding on surgery. Join us on July 21st and see if these treatments are right for you.
The event is free to the public. To register, contact Shannon Woods at 757-596-1900 extension 368.
