Orthopaedic & Spine Center Announces Opening of Center for Regenerative Medicine
OSC opens Center for Regenerative Medicine, featuring cutting-edge treatments and a new opportunity for chronic pain relief.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va., June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The physicians of Orthopaedic & Spine Center have announced the June 1st opening of their Center for Regenerative Medicine, located at 250 Nat Turner Boulevard in Newport News, Virginia. OSC's fellowship-trained, Regenerative Medicine experts are looking forward to helping patients achieve healing and pain relief, possibly avoiding the need for surgery.
By harnessing the potential healing power of the human stem cell and platelet rich plasma, the physicians at OSC can effectively treat patients who suffer from many painful, chronic conditions – including arthritis, back pain, tendon and ligament tears, and tendonitis. The therapies provide the potential to repair and heal the condition, while simultaneously providing pain relief.
"With the stem cell treatments now available at Orthopaedic & Spine Center, pain relief and tissue repair are both possible," explained Dr. Raj Sureja. "Regenerative treatments available include amniotic stem cell injections, bone marrow-derived stem cell injections, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy."
Regenerative Medicine is an advanced and extremely promising option for patient care. These treatments offer patients a viable option for healing, especially for those who cannot, or choose not to have surgery, or those who want to explore all treatment options before deciding on surgery.
"Regenerative Medicine is the next frontier in progressive patient care," said Dr. Mark McFarland, "We are excited to now offer these treatment options to our patients in the Hampton Roads area."
