"I have spent much of my life working and serving on the peninsula – west of my home in Hayward. I sought this position to align my service with the community where I live. I appreciate the successful record of safety and environmental stewardship Oro Loma Sanitary District has achieved. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members to achieve even higher levels of customer service and protection of the San Francisco Bay," Director Duncan said shortly after taking the oath of office.
"Our decision was difficult to make because several highly qualified and talented individuals applied for the open seat. We ultimately selected Rita Duncan because her education and professional background, which includes human resources, organization dynamics, and safety, compliments the existing strengths of our Board.
