OMAHA, Neb., June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Orion Advisor Services, LLC ("Orion"), the premier portfolio accounting service provider for advisors, announced it will host its fourth annual Fuse Conference September 7-10 in Park City, Utah. Fuse is the wealth management industry's leading conference dedicated to technology, attracting prominent financial services technology developers and programmers.
This year, the official event theme is integration with an eye towards creating interactive presentations with clients. Fuse will highlight Orion's integration widgets, which embed Insight tiles into partner applications as well as an Integration Center that automates sign-up and authentication from Orion to its partners.
The central event of Fuse is the "hackathon," a coding competition hosted by the most innovative names in fintech. In accordance with this year's theme, participants will create cutting-edge products to integrate into Orion. Coders will likely take note of the Trends and Insight dashboard apps Orion launched this year, which allow companies to arrange their own data into a customized dashboard and create interactive client presentation tools. In addition to the coveted Best in Show award, the 2017 Hackathon offers many categories including Best use of API, Best Newcomer, and Best New Financial Planning Integration.

Fuse 2017 will feature prominent industry innovators as judges for the hackathon, with some notable additions this year. Returning judges are Joel Bruckenstein, president of Technology Tools for Today; Michael Kitces, publisher of Nerd's Eye View; Bill Winterberg, technology consultant at FPPad.com; JD Bruce, president of Abacus Wealth Partners; Billy Oliverio, vice president of United Planners; Ryan Beach, president of CLS Investments; and Tina Powell, director of business management at Beacon Wealth Management. Joining that line-up are first-time judges Heather Fortner, chief compliance officer and chief operating officer at SignatureFD; Spencer Segal,CEO of ActiFi and Shannon Spotswood, president of RFG Advisory.
