NORTHAMPTON, Mass., Feb. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- OriginLab, a leading publisher of data analysis and graphing software, today announced the availability of Origin® Viewer 9.2 at the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting in Baltimore. The standalone application allows viewing, copying and sharing of graph or worksheet information from Origin Project (OPJ) files and is available in 32- and 64-bit versions. Highlights of version 9.2 include extra-large icon view, mouseover graph preview, icon or details view of windows and the capability to show or hide columns of details view. Origin Project (OPJ) files can be distributed and viewed without requiring Origin software to be installed.
Origin Viewer 9.2 allows Origin users to share their Origin Project (OPJ) files with colleagues who do not have the Origin software, enabling broad collaboration. Colleagues can directly run Origin Viewer and open Origin Project (OPJ) files, accessing the data, worksheets, graphs and analysis results provided by the user. Multiple graphs, including Origin's OpenGL 3D graphs with support for rotation, can be viewed simultaneously by opening them in resizable floating windows. Contents of a project file can also be copied into third party software such as Microsoft® Word or Microsoft PowerPoint for the creation of reports and presentations.
The Biophysical Society Annual Meeting occurs Feb. 7-11, 2015. It will host more than 7,000 attendees and is the largest gathering of biophysicists in the world. The meeting includes symposia, workshops, platform sessions, the National Lecture, as well as educational exhibits, exhibitor presentations, career-related programs and committee events. OriginLab technical staff will be on hand at booth #487 highlighting new features in the latest version of the company's data analysis and graphing software, Origin 2015, in addition to Origin Viewer 9.2.
"We're constantly working to improve the user experience for our software," said Easwar Iyer, vice president of technology, OriginLab. "The new Origin Viewer 9.2 aids quick and easy sharing of Origin Project (OPJ) files between colleagues and partners through at-a-glance views that make the most of extra-large icon view and mouseover preview of graphs."
