OriginLab Releases New Data Analysis and Graphing Software, Origin 2018
Latest version includes a new App Center, Cell Formula support in Worksheets, new plot types, graph preview in Windows Explorer, improved Project File size, Unicode support, and several new Apps
NORTHAMPTON, Mass., Nov. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- OriginLab, a leading publisher of data analysis and graphing software, today announced the release of Origin® and OriginPro 2018. This latest version of OriginLab's award-winning software application adds over 75 new features, Apps and feature improvements, further enhancing Origin's ease-of-use, graphing, analysis and programming capabilities.
Origin 2018 includes several ease-of-use enhancements such as a new App Center dialog to install and update Apps with a single click; preview of graphs in Windows Explorer; improved Origin Central dialog to explore graph samples and recently opened/unsaved files; interactive selection of area of graph for exporting and copy-pasting; Unicode support allowing for easier exchange of Origin files with colleagues around the world; automatic carry-over of User Files and Toolbar settings from previous version; and a new Project File structure with significant reduction in file size.
Origin 2018 also introduces: Cell Formula support in Origin worksheets; new graph types including Bridge Chart, 4DXYZ Plot with Custom Boundary, and Double-Y Box Plot; enhanced dialog for Graph Legend customization; support for Reference Lines in graphs using custom expressions or statistical functions; image pop-up when hovering on worksheet cells containing images or graphs; and support for including images in Summary report from Batch Processing.
OriginLab continues to provide Apps for extending graphing and analysis features. Ten new Apps are being released at the same time as this new version: Simple Fit; Global Peak Fit; OPJ Searcher; FFT Examiner; Operations Manager; Gage Study; Kernel Density for Polar and Ternary; Paired Comparison Plot; Composite Spectrum Regression; and Equation Solver.
