Tamie J. of Prosper, TX Wins a Dream Family Reunion for Sharing Favorite Family Recipe that Makes Celebrations Special
ORRVILLE, Ohio, April 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today The J.M. Smucker Company, makers of Smucker's® Jams, Jellies, Preserves and Fruit Butters, announced Tamie J., Prosper, TX, as the winner of the third annual Spreading Smucker's Traditions Recipe and Essay Contest. Tamie was one of five finalists invited to The J.M. Smucker Company headquarters in Orrville, Ohio to present their special dishes at a live judging event. The winning recipe for "Slow Cooker Marmalade Pork Tenderloin" has been passed down in Tamie's family for three generations, and she can now celebrate new family traditions with the grand prize, $20,000 towards a family reunion and $1,000 towards a personal planner to help with the details. The four runners-up each received a Smucker's gift basket:

Last fall, consumers were asked to share an original family recipe incorporating fruit spreads that had been passed down for at least two generations and the story behind how their recipe makes family celebrations special.
