CHANDLER, Ariz., July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Origami Owl®, a national jewelry company known for its customizable jewelry and signature Living Lockets® hosted the O2 Grow Experience, their second annual conference, in Phoenix, Arizona this past weekend.
More than 5,000 attendees descended upon the Phoenix area from across the country to see the latest product launches and participate in presentations designed to support and empower the Independent Designer sales force that is at the heart of Origami Owl. The brand mission to be a 'force for good' and 'make a difference in the lives of others,' was evident throughout the three-day program, which balanced practical as well as motivational information and speakers.
The big news out of the conference was the launch of a beautiful new collection of elegant crystal lockets, crystal leather wrap bracelet lockets, crystal lanyard lockets, crystal stud earrings and colorful individual crystals which includes an exclusive custom hexagon crystal design, all made by the world-renowned crystal brand, Swarovski. The leader in crystals, the name Swarovski has become a synonym for craftsmanship, quality, prestige and creativity all over the world. As with all Origami Owl jewelry, this special collection is available exclusively through Origami Owl Designers or OrigamiOwl.com.
"We are building our brand and quality association by introducing a collection made with such premium ingredients as Swarovski crystals," said Chrissy Weems, Co-President of Origami Owl. "The collection embellished with Swarovski crystals is exemplary in terms of trend and quality, and we are proud to include these offerings in our fall collection."
"For over 100 years, Swarovski has been the first to bring the finest crystal products, services and innovations to the marketplace," said Alexander Wellhoefer, Senior Vice President Americas, Swarovski. "Origami Owl represents a brand that has embraced our trend expertise, premium product, and strength of brand to deliver an exciting offering to the consumer."
The O2 Grow Experience opened with inspiring on-stage presentations from the original Origami Owl team, Co-founders Bella and Chrissy Weems, Tyson Basha, Shawn Maxwell, and Jeff and Jessica Reinhart. The Origami Owl executive team including Co-President Tricia Chiodo, Chief Performance Officer Darleen Santore, Chief Marketing Officer Deb Bursley, Chief Operating Officer Kevin Raulston, and newly appointed Chief Sales Officer Sandy Spielmaker also made appearances.
A highlight of the conference was a special performance of an original song co-written and performed by Bella in honor of Origami Owl's national partnership with the charity, Childhelp, the nation's oldest and largest nonprofit advocating for abused and neglected children.
Awards and special recognitions were given out to deserving Designers and full-audience giveaways prompted loud roars of applause from the crowd. Breakout sessions throughout the weekend were designed to help Independent Designers build and grow their own businesses with a focus on learning and development for professional leaders. These included presentations on the power of social media, networking, and balancing your energy for both mind and body.
Keynote speaker, graffiti artist and entrepreneur Erik Wahl, delivered an inspiring on-stage visual performance on Saturday, during which he painted while speaking about encouraging business profitability through innovation and superior performance.
Among the most exciting announcements of the convention was the official launch of O2 Academy, a virtual learning and development experience offering courses to improve the life and business skills of Origami Owl Designers. The platform also offers Hoot Academy, an education training opportunity developed for aspiring O2 designers, known as Owlettes—young adults between the ages of 12 and 17 years that allows them to work alongside their parent or guardian who is an active Designer. Hoot Academy offers interactive learning opportunities that help Owlettes establish business skills, build relationships and strengthen self-confidence.
Additional reveals included a fashion show to launch the 2014 bridal collection with charms for the bride, bridesmaids and a unique clasp designed for the bridal bouquet on which the company's line of Origami Owl lockets, charms and dangles can be added to personalize the special day.
