BOSTON, Aug. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Orig3n Inc., a Boston-based biotech company pioneering the future of medicine through genetics and regenerative medicine research, announced a partnership today with the Baltimore Ravens. As part of a multi-year agreement, Orig3n will play a featured role in enhancing the fan experience at home games. The Ravens join the San Francisco 49ers in the growing roster of professional sports teams who recognize the cutting-edge and unique community opportunities a partnership with Orig3n offers.
"We are extremely excited to partner with Orig3n and engage the Ravens Flock with the future of medicine," said Kevin Rochlitz, senior vice president of corporate sales and business development for the Ravens. "We took an interest in Orig3n's mission to revolutionize the way people learn about their health and their DNA. Through this innovative partnership with Orig3n, we will provide new and unique insight to our fans."
Orig3n will have a dedicated activation space outside M&T Bank Stadium. During the three-hour tailgate experience, fans will have a chance to get a peek inside themselves with a free, 4-gene DNA test sample or purchase of any of Orig3n's health and wellness genetic assessments for a more expansive, in-depth look. They can also contribute a small amount of blood to further the efforts of Orig3n's research scientists to develop regenerative medicine solutions.
Since its inception in 2014, Orig3n has been on a mission to further the common good and advance the future of health through genetics and regenerative medicine research. Orig3n believes that when people better understand the links between genes, health and wellness, they can make educated, proactive choices about their future. In support of this goal, Orig3n participates in patient-fueled research and development initiatives, offers a line of direct-to-consumer health and wellness genetic tests and cultivates an engaged community through events and educational initiatives.
"The Ravens' 2017 season motto is 'together,' and that value is at the core of everything we do at Orig3n. Our guiding belief is that together with our community, we can find treatments and cures faster and improve the lives of people everywhere," said Robin Y. Smith, CEO, Orig3n. "The generosity, excitement and enthusiasm of the football fans we've met at our NFL activations is a testament to how our mission resonates with so many, and we can't wait for the Ravens community to join us as we work together to advance the future of health."
