Oregon Officials Make Surprise Inspections on Medical Marijuana Facilities, Closing One Dispensary for Violations
Kush Bottles Offers Free Guidance to Help Dispensaries Stay Compliant, Avoid Fines, and Remain Open for Business
SANTA ANA, Calif., July 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kush Bottles, North America's premier supplier of certified child-resistant packaging and compliant bottles for the cannabis industry, commented today on the news that Oregon officials closed one medical marijuana dispensary for violations found during a surprise inspection.
As reported by The Oregonian, officials from the state Liquor Control Board began making unannounced inspections of licensed medial marijuana dispensaries, and found numerous violations, which resulted in the immediate shuttering of one facility.
Tom Burns, director of pharmacy programs with the Oregon Health Authority, said that when major violations are discovered, they will revoke licenses to operate.
Kush Bottles announced in a previous news release that these inspections were coming imminent. Several dispensaries took advantage of Kush Bottles' free compliance consultation service, and the company is proud to report that those dispensaries were found to be free of violations.
