Orchids Awarded Entrepreneurial Excellence in Oklahoma Award

PRYOR, Okla., Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Orchids Paper Products Company (NYSE MKT: TIS) (the "Company") was awarded the Entrepreneurial Excellence in Oklahoma Award by the Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Labor.  The Entrepreneurial Excellence in Oklahoma Award was started by Oklahoma Department of Labor Commissioner Mark Costello in 2012 to honor businesses in Oklahoma.  Orchids received the award in recognition of its entrepreneurial spirit in creating profitable employment for its fellow Oklahomans and for fostering a positive business atmosphere.  The award was presented by Commissioner Costello in a ceremony held at the Company's manufacturing facility in Pryor, Oklahoma on February 1, 2013.  In addition to the award, the Company was also presented with a Citation of Excellence on behalf of the Oklahoma legislature for its exemplary management commitment to its employees, its community and the State of Oklahoma.

Commissioner Costello stated, "I want to honor Orchids for their commitment to Oklahoma and for their success in creating opportunities for other Oklahomans to earn a living through private sector jobs."
