ORBA Welcomes Four New Hires

CHICAGO, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams, Ltd. (ORBA), one of Chicago's largest accounting firms, is pleased to announce that four new hires have recently joined the firm's Tax and Accounting Services Departments.

Phyllis Gannon, CPA, MST, joins the firm as a Tax Manager.  She has more than 25 years of experience performing assurance, tax and consulting services to high net worth individuals and businesses from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.  Phyllis received her B.S. in Accountancy and a Master of Science in Taxation from Northern Illinois University.

Michelle L. Heller, CPA, JD, joins the firm as a Tax Manager.  Michelle counsels clients on fiduciary income tax planning, preparation and compliance analysis.  Michelle is past chair of the Federal Taxation Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association, and was recently named a 2013 Great Plains Rising Star by Super Lawyers.  Michelle received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, with Honors, a Master of Accountancy in Taxation and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa.  

Jason Miller, CPA, joins the firm as a Staff Accountant.  He has spent the past four years with the Internal Revenue Service as an agent in the Small Business and Self-Employed Division performing audits of individual, partnership and corporate tax returns.  Jason received his B.A. in Arts of Accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Grand Valley State University.

Megan Robinson, joins the firm's Accounting Services Department as a Bookkeeper.  She has experience with financial reporting, account reconciliation, tax preparation and technical training to a wide range of clients in multiple industry sectors.  Megan received a B.S. in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
