CHICAGO, March 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Oranj, the industry's first free, end-to-end wealth management software, and PIEtech Inc., creator of MoneyGuidePro®, today announced a strategic integration that unites Oranj's award-winning account aggregation with MoneyGuide's expansive financial planning capabilities. The new integration, available today, gives MoneyGuide users the ability to identify thousands of different types of held-away accounts without an additional monthly subscription charge. Users will have access to Oranj's comprehensive suite of tools including a client portal, account opening, institutional-grade trading and rebalancing, all for free.
"Advisers need the whole picture and consistent data to do their best work for their clients. Identifying held-away accounts can be an elusive chase for advisors," said David Lyon, founder and CEO of Oranj. "We want to simplify that through this integration. PIEtech® has some of the best financial planning software in the industry and this integration can be a powerful solution for advisors who need a better understanding of their client's entire financial picture."
Advisers can activate the integration by creating a free Oranj account and entering their MoneyGuide credentials. Next, they would click on the MoneyGuide logo next to the client name to go to the respective household page within MoneyGuide which will then be populated with aggregated and held-away account information via Oranj data. More than 15,000 held-away account types include banking, self-directed and retirement, and real estate accounts are included in this integration.
SINGLE LOGIN SOLUTION
"The integration between Oranj and MoneyGuide is helping to make a single login solution for both investment management and financial planning. With Oranj, I can create my client households and then either feed an existing client record or create a new one within MoneyGuide with investment account information," said financial advisor Jason Preti, CFP®, president of Unleashed Financial LLC. "This helps keep my financial plans up to date and is a huge efficiency boost."
"At MoneyGuide, we look to provide our users valuable integrations that provide increased data and analytics, but also which make their job easier, so their advice shines through to the client," said Kevin Hughes, chief growth officer of PIEtech®. "With Oranj, we have created an integration providing advisors with the technology tools and information we are best at and which shows a client's full financial picture."
ENHANCEMENTS TO PLATFORMS
Oranj and MoneyGuide have been actively rolling out enhancements to their custodian-agnostic platforms:
In December, Oranj announced the launch of their redesigned and mobile-friendly investor portal that provides advisors with the ability to launch a digital experience that rivals that of many robo-advisors, enabling investors to have more on-demand control over their financial lives and providing advisors with more business intelligence to identify opportunities to add value.
In January, MoneyGuide announced the expansion of its financial planning platform to include MoneyGuideOne and MoneyGuideElite, both of which are powered by its flagship offering, MoneyGuidePro®. MoneyGuideOne is a streamlined version of MoneyGuidePro which enables advisors new to planning, or seeking to add planning to their practice, to create financial plans in minutes without compromising on quality. MoneyGuideElite is an advanced planning product that enables advisors to illustrate income distribution, analyze the benefits and tradeoffs of annuities and uncover a new way to protect a client's plan through an advanced lifetime protection module.
