Optimizing IT Infrastructures: Management, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing Will Be Theme for CMG'11 Taking Place in Washington, DC Area, December 5-9
TURNERSVILLE, N.J., April 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), a not-for-profit, worldwide organization of IT professionals, today announced the theme and location for its 37th International conference (CMG'11).
The conference theme is Optimizing IT Infrastructure: Management, Virtualization, and Cloud Computing and is scheduled for December 5 – 9 at the Gaylord National in the Washington, DC area. The conference takes place over a 4 1/2 day period with detailed tutorials and workshops on the first half day. The remainder of the conference will be organized around five tracks featuring keynotes, distinguished speakers on selected theme subjects, and many helpful user experience sessions.
"One of the reasons we chose this theme is the fact that major IT organizations are adopting a much more dynamic infrastructure in order to realize cost, performance, and management efficiencies. Through all of that, high availability is key. Virtualization is the enabler – from VMware enabled platforms all the way to the zEnterprise – suggesting that cloud computing, hybrid computing, and dynamic storage infrastructures will be the delivery mechanisms of the new service models for businesses as well as government. At CMG'11, we look forward to exploring all of these topics in-depth," said Tony Mungal, Marketing Director at CMG.
"In addition, we are so excited that CMG'11 is taking place in the Washington, DC area. For companies, as well as federal and state agencies looking to overhaul their IT structures or augment them with Cloud-based services, CMG'11 is the place to learn and understand key performance and capacity issues and gain insight to the solutions that can control IT expenses," said Ted McGavin , General Chair of the CMG'11 conference.
