OpTier Selected as a Cloud Connect 2011 Launch Pad Finalist
Business Transaction Management Leader Selected by Community Vote as One of Four Companies to Present at Event
NEW YORK, March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- OpTier™, the leader in Business Transaction Management (BTM) for the enterprise, today announced it had been selected as a Launch Pad finalist to present on the keynote stage on Wednesday, March 9 during Cloud Connect, happening at the Santa Clara Convention Center. For more information visit: http://launchpad.cloudconnectevent.com/.
OpTier will showcase OpTier BTM cloud capabilities for the first time at Cloud Connect, the defining event of the cloud computing industry. Each Launch Pad finalist will have the unique opportunity to present their innovative solutions to the cloud computing community and receive real-time audience feedback.
OpTier BTM monitors all business transactions, all the time, across cloud environments. Its dynamic real-time transaction discovery provides a real-time topological view of all business transactions across all virtual and physical tiers inside the datacenter and in the cloud, enabling both the view and control desired. In an environment where the infrastructure layer is completely abstracted, and resources are shared among multiple tenants, OpTier BTM provides a direct link between the end-user experience and the underlying infrastructure.
For organizations with hybrid cloud deployments, OpTier can provide visibility into the full transaction path in hybrid clouds that include Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), and automatically follow transactions even as tiers get moved into the EC2 environment.
"The Launch Pad competition at Cloud Connect recognizes those companies that are shaping the cloud computing industry and offers them the opportunity to showcase their latest technological advancements," said Steve Wylie, Cloud Connect General Manager. "We'd like to applaud the innovative solutions that these four Launch Pad finalists have presented to the community. They represent the rapid pace of progress that continues to characterize the cloud computing industry."
After a first round of submissions via Twitter, the Launch Pad Jury selected their favorite eight submissions. These elite eight were then asked to upload a short YouTube video to compete for the title and chance to present at the event. The Cloud Connect community voted and selected four Launch Pad finalists, including OpTier, to showcase their ideas on Wednesday, March 9. Following a live audience vote, a Launch Pad People's Choice Winner will be announced on-site at Cloud Connect.
"The selection of our BTM solution as a finalist for this Launch Pad award by our peers in the cloud computing community is an honor and a testament to the benefits of transaction management and monitoring in the cloud," said Israel Mazin, CEO of OpTier. "Several of our customers are already experiencing the benefits of managing their private cloud environments using OpTier BTM for planning, migrating, operating and optimizing application performance in the cloud."
