Optanix Appoints Melissa Puls as Chief Marketing Officer
Former CMO of Progress and Vice President at Iron Mountain and Infor to Lead Global Marketing at Optanix

Puls has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the marketing of software and business technology solutions. As CMO, Puls will define and execute marketing strategies to drive global revenue growth for Optanix solutions, which maximize IT business service availability and performance through a proactive approach that identifies and resolves critical root cause incidents in a network. Puls reports to Michael Barry, CEO of Optanix.

Before Optanix, Puls served as CMO at Progress where she led corporate marketing, demand generation, content marketing, digital marketing and marketing operations. During her tenure at Progress, Puls was responsible for the successful launch of its new brand and generating leads that converted to $30M in new bookings annually. Prior to Progress, Puls was vice president of marketing at Iron Mountain, the largest global information storage company. Puls improved marketing contribution to new revenue at Iron Mountain from 4% to 25%, increased lead to revenue conversion from 7% to 16% and drove the Internal Rate of Marketing Return (IRR) to more than 20%. Before Iron Mountain, Puls rose up through the ranks to become vice president of marketing at Infor, the world's third-largest ERP software company. She also held marketing roles at Infinium Software (later SSA Global) and Kronos, Inc. Puls holds a B.A. in Communications and Psychology from Franklin Pierce University.
