Opsview Boosts Enhanced Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring with Support for Vmware vSphere®
LONDON, April 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Opsview, the leading unified services monitoring vendor, today announced enhanced support for monitoring cloud and virtualized infrastructures based on Vmware vSphere® 5. Building on the release of Opsview V4 last year, Opsview Enterprise 4.3 now enables enterprises and service providers to guarantee service delivery when deploying the latest virtualization and cloud technologies.
Many of Opsview's customers are moving rapidly to deploy virtualized and cloud environments in order to benefit from their increased agility and lower cost. But with these changes come concerns about maintaining service levels.
As Ton Voon, Opsview's Technical Architect admits, "Vmware vSphere offers the gold-standard in virtualized and cloud infrastructures. However our customers were concerned about how to keep track of their critical IT services hosted within these highly dynamic environments. In particular they wanted to leverage these exciting new technologies whilst maintaining the same high levels of reliability that their users had come to expect."
"This latest Opsview release addresses these challenges with the rapid autodiscovery of all Vmware vSphere hosts and guests combined with the application of up to 20 out-of-the-box checks per node to ensure optimum systems performance," explains Voon.
"Now when VMware cloud infrastructure events occur, Opsview Enterprise automatically determines which services are impacted allowing operators to rapidly pinpoint the root cause of any issues that are putting the infrastructure at risk," said Voon.
"With Opsview Enterprise 4.3, vSphere customers can proactively address issues in their dynamic virtual and cloud infrastructures before end users are affected," concludes Voon.
