ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 2013 Enterprise World conference in Orlando, Florida, OpenText™ (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the global leader in Enterprise Information Management (EIM), today announced that hybris software, an SAP company, will join existing OpenText prestigious partners in helping to enhance its Customer Experience Management (CEM) ecosystem. Marking an industry first, the OpenText enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) integration with hybris will enable marketers and merchandizers to deliver robust and engaging digital purchasing experiences. The integration will be available in the hybris Extend marketplace.
"This is an exciting time for us to enter into yet another instrumental partnership. Building on the innovative momentum of Project Red Oxygen, set to be unveiled tomorrow at Enterprise World, we are rapidly expanding our capabilities in the area of CEM. By partnering with enterprise leading companies like hybris, who see our vision of EIM and CEM as core to succeeding in today's information economy, we will redefine online retail," said Muhi Majzoub, senior vice president, engineering, OpenText. "The ability for us to offer our customers (the merchants), and their customers (the shoppers, partners and end retailers) a better B2B and B2C commerce experience, consistently across multiple channels with engaging, relevant and rich digital assets, constitutes a world class platform like no other."
OpenText and hybris work together to help organizations provide a scalable and seamless buying experience across store, service and marketing. hybris solutions enable rich product data and catalogs (Product Content Management), omni-channel commerce (Commerce Suite), and personalization; OpenText Media Management enables creative workflows and the processing of images, video, and other media assets, integrated with hybris PCM.
Specifically, the Media Management integration with hybris PCM will allow a product owner to quickly and easily manage all rich media from a single library and associate it with the appropriate product in the product catalog. This transparency will not only allow users to make the most of relevant assets, it will reduce search time and duplication of efforts, freeing up resources for the next digital creation.
"By integrating with OpenText, we are enabling businesses to efficiently develop rich customer experiences and product data that extends across all channels and touch points," said Patrick Finn, Vice President of Channels, Americas, at hybris. "We are excited that OpenText is joining our Extend partner program to enhance the advanced branding and digital media control for the omni-channel shopping experience."
Helping to grow the OpenText network, the hybris partnership leverages the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) strategy and draws upon the latest API extensions to enable users to aggregate data and orchestrate it for an omni-channel shopping experience.
