OpenLegacy Partners with CM First Group AG to Bring API-based Integration Solution to Clients in North America and Europe
PRINCETON, New Jersey, October 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
OpenLegacy, the open standard-based integration platform provider, announced today that CM First has joined its worldwide channel partner program.
CM First will be introducing OpenLegacy's technology to CA 2E (Synon) and IBM i clients in North America and the DACH region in Europe. Focused on the modernization of CA 2E, CA Plex, and RPG/COBOL-based IBM i and z/Systems as well as development of responsive UX and iBPM front ends for legacy apps, this partnership with OpenLegacy further extends their capabilities for transformation initiatives.
"Projects can benefit immediately from the integration blueprints of OpenLegacy, especially in cases where IBM i or z/Systems are critical components of the enterprise's back-end systems architecture," explains CTO John Rhodes. He added that since CM First follows an "API First" philosophy toward modern application development, the OpenLegacy API platform's open-standards integration APIs lets them rapidly implement their clients' business initiatives.
Recognized as a "Cool Vendor in Integration" by Gartner , OpenLegacy enables enterprises to quickly and securely extend critical on-premise business applications or even Docker-based cloud containers to web, mobile and cloud with its open standard API technology. The technology is focused on back-end systems and standards-based technologies, which makes it an ideal partner for existing companies in the field of modernization and integration.
"OpenLegacy offers a unique approach to help our customers in the U.S. and Europe move forward with transformation projects where timelines and associated budgets are very relevant in this economy," shares Christoph Heinrich, CEO of CM First. "The OpenLegacy subscription model coupled with our service expertise is helping us build repeatable business processes at our centers of excellence in Zug, Switzerland, and Austin, Texas for banking, logistics and manufacturing," he explains.
CM First's target regions are the U.S., Canada, and DACH region in Europe. They will also be opening OpenLegacy technology centers of excellence in Austin (Americas) headquarters and Zurich, Switzerland (Europe) headquarters so that interested clients can work hands-on with OpenLegacy's technology and learn how to integrate their 5250 applications into modern responsive frameworks.
"This partnership is viewed as an important stride to further expand our presence in North America and Europe," said Rolin Zumaran, SVP Global Sales at OpenLegacy. "CM First is a company with the right qualifications and experiences in leading transformation projects. Our API platform is designed to rapidly respond to business initiatives where clients need to deliver timely solutions to their marketplace. Meanwhile, our focus on continuously automating access to back-end systems further increases the dependability of critical applications where systems of record need to maximize windows of business opportunity."
