OnTime Networks Launches new Cloudberry CR-4000-MIL Series 4 Port Mobile Router with Capability of Bonding Multiple 4G/LTE WWAN Links for Airborne and Ground Applications
ATLANTA, May 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AUVSI 2015 -- OnTime Networks, a global leader for rugged, time synchronized Ethernet solutions for the Aerospace and Defense Industry, announced today the expansion of its military-grade Gigabit Ethernet switch and router portfolio with the new Cloudberry CR-4000 MIL Router Series.
The Rugged Mobile Router, can handle up to four 4G/LTE link connections simultaneously, intelligently managed for High Availability and optimal performance. For local networks it has four 10/100/1000BASE-TX ports.
The CR-4000 Series allows for a secure VPN connection and offers the capability to combine bandwidth from multiple 4G/LTE modems from different carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Vodafone), with instant and seamless switching of data traffic between the connections.
The CR-4000 Series comes with a fast and efficient routing firmware package with advanced IPv4 and IPv6 Routing capabilities. Encrypted WAN communications for Virtual Private Networks and a stateful firewall for enhanced security.
The CR-4000 Series hardware operates of 9 - 32VDC Power Input with a wide operating temperature (-40 degrees C, +70 degrees C) and is designed to reliably provide high-performance connectivity in the harsh climatically and noisy electrical demanding environments on land, in the air and on sea.
The unit offers flexible hardware configuration options, such as:
- 1 - 4 Radio interface slots for LTE or Wi-Fi
- 4 Gb Ethernet LAN ports with RJ45, custom connectors on request
- Optional Internal Battery for 10 min. operation
- CAN Bus, Serial Ports, USB or Digital I/O
- Aluminum Chassis, Optional IP65 (Sealed against Water, Dust)
- Designed to meet MIL-STD-810F
Hans Petter Flugstad, Product Line Manager of OnTime Networks, stated, "The CR-4000 Series offers a great level of new opportunities for high-bandwidth connections in mobile applications such as land vehicles, aircraft and UAVs, where the existing cellular infrastructure can be used. The CR-4000 Series coupled with the CR-1000 Series central router provides customers with the possibility to have continued secure communication with multiple "network" assets in one system architecture.
About CR-4000- MIL Series
CR-4004-MIL is a ruggedized, mobile IP Router and WAN Gateway supporting multiple radio channels for redundant access and increased bandwidth. It is specifically designed to operate reliably in demanding vehicle environments (e.g. tolerable to shock, & vibration, extended temperatures, humidity, dust & water exposure, noisy EMI).
CR-4004-MIL can be equipped with up to four radio interfaces for access over public networks (e.g. LTE). This can provide redundancy on a network operator level as well as more reliable communication. For bandwidth demanding applications, radio channels can be bundled to provide increased bandwidth.
