Online Video Pioneer Brings Personalized Learning and Engagement Tools to Association and Continuing Education Programs
Integration of Astute Technology with Echo360's popular video and engagement platform enables associations to improve member engagement with revenue generating personalized learning and credentialing programs
WASHINGTON, Aug. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Global leader in cloud-based video capture, Echo360, today announced the launch of a new personalization, engagement, and credentialing interface designed to help associations deliver high quality, interactive content and certifications. Today's announcement reflects the integration of Astute Technology's virtual meeting and conference platform with online learning tools that transform events and educational programs into personalized learning experiences that target members' unique learning needs.
"The integration of video capture with engagement and learning tools enables us to respond to our clients' growing need for personalized, on-demand educational experiences," said Fred Singer, CEO, Echo360. "This new approach is driving unprecedented participation in online programs, and extending the shelf-life of content as professionals search and identify the learning moments most relevant to them."
Following today's launch, associations can offer members the ability to view pre-recorded video content in any order, at their own pace, through either a computer or mobile device. As users review and engage with content, they can take assessments within the platform, allowing associations to test for knowledge and seamlessly award certificates and credentials.
"We need to keep pace with the latest research and innovation in our fields," said Matthew Lungren, MD, MPH, Stanford University. "Echo360's platform enables professionals to easily access quality, interactive online programs that are tailored to our interests – and equip us with the tools to succeed."
With the addition of Echo360's unique, active learning platform, users will also have access to a suite of learning and engagement tools. Members viewing on-demand conference videos can, for example, engage in peer-to-peer collaboration and ask and answer questions, sparking an exchange of ideas and extending the value of events for members unable to attend.
"The explosion of demand by association members for advanced online learning experiences has created an exciting opportunity to expand Echo360's popular video and engagement platform," said Jon Merril, MD, Chief Continuing Education Officer, Echo360. "This new interface was specifically designed to enable associations to deliver seamless learning experiences that combine the accessibility and convenience of online learning with the engagement and impact of in-person events, increasing value and expanding non-dues revenue."
