Online Students Log in August 6th to Start School Year
Kansas Virtual Academy and Insight School of Kansas welcome both K-12 and adult students
OLATHE, Kansas, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Students enrolled in partner schools Kansas Virtual Academy and Insight School of Kansas, public online schools of Spring Hill School District serving students in grades K–6 and 7–12, respectively, will go back to school without leaving their homes on Wednesday, August 6.
"We recognize that academic goals may be different for every individual, so we strive to support students in their academic journey, at whichever point they might be," said Sarah Berger, head of school of Kansas Virtual Academy and Insight School of Kansas. "Students can now go to school from the safety of home, where they can focus on their studies without distractions; without peer pressure; and with the help of excellent state-certified teachers, caring counselors, and a parent or other adult to provide support."
Both schools give students the opportunity to learn in the ways that are right for them, while covering both core subject areas and electives. They also give parents and families the choice to access the award-winning curriculum and tools provided by K¹².
Kansas Virtual Academy provides an active, supportive community, a range of extracurricular activities, and a robust Advanced Learner Program, which focuses on helping students reach their natural potential through a dynamic learning environment.
Insight School of Kansas offers targeted support for students who have struggled academically, expert programs and assistance in helping students fill in skill gaps and move toward graduation, and a social and emotional learning program. Insight School of Kansas also supports the largest online Adult Learner program in the state, and provides individuals with a high school diploma backed by the strong K12 curriculum and high Kansas standards.
