Online PennDOT Heavy Equipment Auction Currently Underway
Auction Features More Than 230 Items
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- State General Services Secretary Sheri Phillips announced today that more than 230 items are currently up for public bid during the online PennDOT heavy equipment auction, which runs now through Tuesday, June 10, at 10 a.m.
"With over 230 items available, this auction is a prime opportunity to get construction equipment at a good price," Secretary Phillips said. "Private contractors can now benefit from equipment that has served the commonwealth well."
Among the items up for bid are excavators, dump trucks, paving rollers, snow plows, stone chippers, wheel and backhoe loaders, lights, mowers and more.
Interested bidders can access the online list of heavy equipment at http://auctionsbygov.com/. Users will need to type "Commonwealth of PA, PennDOT Heavy Equipment" to view the entire list, highlighted units and the terms of the auction.
In order to bid on the property currently available, users must register with AuctionsByGov. By registering users also receive notices of up-coming bid sales.
Bidders who would like to physically inspect the items can do so on Wednesday, June 4, and Thursday, June 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jefferson County PennDOT Maintenance Facility, 205 Witherow Street, Punxsutawney.
