Online Auction Features Top-Quality Audiovisual Equipment
--Tiger Group liquidates computers, vans, interactive whiteboards and a rich selection of audiovisual inventory formerly owned by Cleveland Corporate Services.
CLEVELAND, April 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Bidding is now underway on more than $1 million in top-quality audiovisual equipment and lighting products, along with a wide range of interactive SMART whiteboards used in educational settings, in an online liquidation sale being conducted by Tiger Group's Remarketing Services Division. The auction at www.SoldTiger.com also includes computers, service vans, office furniture, power tools, telecom equipment and other assets formerly owned by Cleveland Corporate Services (CCS).
Bidding will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on May 8 at 10:30 a.m. (EST). The preview will be held at 1821 East 40th St., Cleveland, on Mon. and Tues., May 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
CCS, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2012, was a local leader in audiovisual sales and rentals for 23 years. In 2000, the company jumped into the growing and lucrative educational technology market by focusing on sales of SMART interactive whiteboards. "Over the past decade or so, SMART boards have become a widely embraced teaching tool, and CCS was among SMART's largest North American distributors," noted Andy Babcock, Tiger's director of wholesale appraisals. "SMART equipment is rarely available at auction discounts, which is part of what makes this sale such an extraordinary opportunity for companies that use, sell or rent whiteboards and other AV equipment."
The sale additionally gives bidders the opportunity to acquire new, open box, demo and rental AV equipment and lighting products by brands such as NEC, Sony, ETC, Extron, Shure, Atlas Sound and many others.
But the available lots encompass much more than projectors, monitors, cameras, TVs, DVD recorders and the like, Babcock noted. Also on the block are 17 service vehicles, including multiple Ford E-350 XLT Super Duty vans, and a Dodge Grand Caravan passenger van. Other items include more than 40 Dell laptops, more than 45 Dell OptiPlex PCs and a host of widescreen displays, printers, copiers, fax machines, along with network and server equipment, video conferencing and telecom equipment, office furniture, warehouse support equipment and other items that would be useful for virtually any business.
