Online Auction Features Over 800 Art Pieces, Plus Framing Equipment & Materials

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tiger Group's Remarketing Services division is auctioning more than 600 lithographs and prints, as well as over 200 figurines and sculptures—including works by internationally known artists such as Thomas Kinkade, Walt Disney, Judy Larson, J.D. Challenger and Pino Daeni—in an online auction of the former assets of B&R Art Gallery. Conducted by order of the U.S. bankruptcy court, the liquidation sale at www.SoldTiger.com also includes a wide range of woodworking and framing equipment, as well as framing materials from the Southern California gallery's framing department.
Bidding is now underway and will close in rapid succession, live auction style, on Dec. 18, beginning at 10:30 a.m. PT. The preview will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 19-21 at B&R Art Gallery, 17720 Sierra Hwy., in the Los Angeles County town of Canyon Country.
Located northeast of Los Angeles, B&R's 6,000-sq.-ft. gallery and framing shop specialized in providing high-quality service to experienced collectors and the general public. The gallery's owners filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in October 2012.
The sale features framed and unframed, numbered lithographs and prints by Carol Evans, Frank Magzino, John Weiss, Robert Copple, Cao Yong, Ron Lesser, William Phillips, June Carey, James Christensen, Bev Doolittle and many other renowned artists. The represented subject matter of these works includes American, exotic, mountain, landscape and beach scenery, along with wildlife and animals, portraits, romantic paintings and more. The figurines, sculptures and ornaments on the auction block include works by Disney, Christensen, Will Bullas, Scott Gustafson and Bev Doolittle.
The lots of woodworking and framing machinery include computer-controlled and wall-mounted mat cutters by Wizard and Fletcher; mitre saws by Alfamachine and Dewalt; combination vacuum presses with tables, a table-mounted guillotine, a pneumatic v-nailer, a Grizzy dust collector, Kobalt air compressor and various other pneumatic, power and hand tools.
The available framing supplies and hardware include hangers, wires, clips, paint, cardboard sleeves and boxes, shipping supplies, and more. In addition, the auction will include store fixtures such as display cases and racks, easels and posture cabinets, along with computers, printers, monitors, desks, chairs, tables and other office furniture and equipment, pending U.S. bankruptcy court approval.
