SAN FRANCISCO, April 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Onfleet announced the launch of their delivery management solution. Onfleet has raised $2m from investors including CrunchFund, Winklevoss Capital, Stanford-StartX Fund, Lee Linden, Semil Shah, Fadi Ghandour and Andy Rachleff, to make local delivery efficient and delightful. The platform includes intuitive iOS and Android apps for drivers, a web dashboard to manage deliveries and routes, and automatic SMS notifications and real-time driver tracking for customers. With the recent rise in consumer expectations around on-demand delivery and transparency, companies ranging from Amazon and Uber to local restaurants and liquor stores are spending a lot of resources on last-mile fulfillment. Onfleet aims to reduce the time and effort spent on custom solutions and third-party collaboration so businesses can focus on their core product.
"Onfleet features a comprehensive out-of-the-box solution and a robust API, designed specifically to solve the pain points of local delivery businesses," says Mikel Carmenes Cavia, Onfleet's VP of Engineering and Co-Founder. Features like automatic task assignment and real-time alerts allow delivery managers to focus on bottlenecks. Reporting of driver stats, seamless customer communication, and robust analytics round out the package.
"Our business is all about speed. Onfleet provides the tools to keep our drivers moving quickly and the experience to keep our customers happy," says Chad Whitaker, founder of Austin, Texas-based Demand Food.
Onfleet's vision goes beyond building a software-as-a-service tool for businesses. According to Khaled Naim, Onfleet's CEO and Co-Founder, "we want to solve inefficiencies around local delivery, and believe that by leveraging the driver network we're building, along with existing driver networks, we can enable collaboration across merchants and local businesses to drive down the costs of delivery."
