OneAccess Networks Introduces AirBooster to Bring the Benefits of WAN Optimization to Android Business Users
Service Providers Will be Able to Offer a Significant Improvement in Quality of Experience for Mobile Users
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama and ORLANDO, March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
OneAccess Networks, a global provider of CPE solutions that enable Converged Services for small-medium businesses (SMB) and enterprises today announced its AirBooster bandwidth optimization software client for North America. Experience a live demonstration of the AirBooster solution in booth #1302 at Enterprise Connect.
With the growing trend of mobile access to high bandwidth applications over a WiFi or 3G connection, the quality of experience delivered by the service provider is critically important to the productivity of many business operations and the retention of customers. AirBooster enables service providers to deliver on the vision of quality of experience and promise of end point transparency for the end user. AirBooster's advanced bandwidth optimization technology improves the speed and capacity of a WiFi or 3G connection by as much as 50% enabling the vision of end point transparency for the Android tablet end user, where their wireless experience is the same as their "wired" LAN experience for mobile cloud-based business applications.
According to Matthias Machowinski, Directing Analyst, Enterprise Networks and Video with Infonetics Research Inc., "Enterprise adoption of tablets will drive massive traffic growth on wireless networks. ONEAccess's Airbooster solution allows service providers to manage limited wireless network resources, while delivering a high quality experience to their customers."
AirBooster is part of the ONE Optimization solution that offers service providers an end-to-end capability for enhancing the end user experience and optimizing their network resources to the customer premise, and now to the Android end user. ONE Optimization is an integrated solution that combines the NetAPM and NetControl application traffic management and control with NetBoost acceleration and compression features. NetAPM and NetControl incorporate a high-speed Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine. By identifying and prioritizing non-essential network traffic, NetControl can be configured to ensure bandwidth is prioritized for mission critical applications. NetBoost combines TCP optimization and bi-directional compression techniques. As a downloadable client for Android platforms, AirBooster connects via 3G or WiFi to a premise-based OneAccess multi-service access router, such as the ONE-1540, with the integrated NetBoost software feature.
"End point transparency is fast becoming a key requirement for businesses when selecting a managed converged service," said Dennis R. Gatens, vice president & general manager for OneAccess Networks, North America. "AirBooster is an enabler of end-point transparency as it delivers on the promise of a consistent wired LAN experience for the mobile user."
The OneAccess vision of hosted services delivery for the SMB and enterprise is focused on integrating higher bandwidth access technologies and software features necessary for cloud services. The integration of features such as Session Border Control, security, WAN Optimization, and application layer monitoring and reporting that have been "scaled" to meet the needs of the SMB, greatly reduces the cost to deliver higher value cloud services to the SMB and enterprise.
