HERNDON, Virginia and GAITHERSBURG, Maryland, October 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
End point visibility is key to ensuring the highest quality managed services
BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT) and OneAccess Networks today announced the commercial availability of BroadCloud™ PacketSmart® integrated with the OneAccess One1540 multi-service router. This integrated offering enables service providers to offer small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise customers managed hosted services that range from assessing network readiness before service installation to ensuring superior quality of voice and video communications services after service activation.
With BroadCloud PacketSmart, service providers can assess the configuration and readiness of their customers' networks to support VoIP and data communications solutions. By leveraging the integration of BroadCloud PacketSmart with the One1540, service providers can proactively detect and resolve problems for cloud-based IP services delivered on their networks, while realizing reduced capital and operational expenses, provisioning time and truck rolls. Service providers can also address a broader SMB market with higher value managed cloud services, and improve customer retention and average revenue per user through a higher Quality of Experience.
Once deployed, PacketSmart, together with the One1540 multi-service router, will continuously monitor calls to identify any performance issues on both the business' internal network and the service provider's network, and provide detailed reports on QoS. Additional benefits include:
- Faster customer installation with the deployment of a single device
- Comprehensive solution that spans the entire service lifecycle, from installation to service delivery
- Ability to proactively address problems and reduce Mean-Time-To-Resolution
- Continuous 24 x 7 network performance monitoring to ensure service availability
- Proactive detection of issues prior to customers sensing and reporting problems can increase customer satisfaction, reduce churn and reduce support cost
"We are proud to partner with OneAccess to offer an integrated solution that enables telecommunications service providers to monitor and proactively troubleshoot network issues, which provides even greater value to their customers," said David Bukovsky, vice president, products, BroadSoft. "We believe this integrated solution offers our joint customers a cost-effective way to ensure the highest quality for their hosted real-time communications services."
"Service providers can rely on two global market leaders to deliver innovative solutions," said Bertrand Meis, CEO, OneAccess Networks. "Solutions that enable higher value services resonate with our service provider customers throughout the world and represent OneAccess' continuing leadership to evolve the multi-service router from a Layer 3 centric device to a cloud services delivery platform."
The One1540 CPE is a multi-service router optimized to deliver hosted converged services to the SMB and enterprise with industry-leading hardware scalability and software flexibility. With EFM g.shdsl and fiber Ethernet WAN options, a four-port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch, combined with a software-centric architecture, service providers can reduce the number of appliances required in the SMB LAN to deliver higher value managed services. With more than 750,000 units deployed and over 140 service provider customers around the world, the ONE series of multi-service routers is a high performance, field-proven, business class router portfolio with a number of provisioning and management tools that reduce the operational cost and complexity of managed converged services.
"Service providers require vendors to invest in integrated solutions that enable higher value managed services," said Dennis R. Gatens, vice president and general manager, OneAccess Networks, North America. "Both OneAccess Networks and BroadSoft recognize that simply being part of an ecosystem no longer supports a service provider's strategy to deliver high value managed services."
"Reliable network and communication services are absolutely critical for businesses to maintain productivity and offer high quality services to their customers," said Matthias Machowinski, directing analyst enterprise networking, Infonetics Research. "The solution partnership between OneAccess and Broadsoft allows service providers to differentiate their offerings and meet the challenge of delivering business-critical services to SMBs and enterprises."
The One1540 with the integrated BroadCloud PacketSmart embedded agent is available today from OneAccess Networks.
