WALNUT CREEK, Calif., April 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- One Planet is excited to announce its new corporate brand at the historic Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, CA on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. The celebration begins at 6:30 PM and is open to select invites, company partners and clients, as well as the media. From its logo and website to its culture and workspace, the new visual identity inaugurates a new chapter in the company's history.
During the first quarter of 2019, One Planet completed a series of strategic initiatives. The company launched Quite Remarkable, a world-class digital creative agency with offices in London, Sydney, and the Bay Area, and hired Maani Safa as the CEO of this newly launched wholly-owned subsidiary and SVP of Product and Branding for One Planet. In addition, the company doubled its operations in the Philippines and brought on board Nima Mazloumi as VP of Technology responsible for One Planet's global technology strategy including overseeing operations in Toronto and Ukraine. To expand its operations in the Bay Area, One Planet is about to close on a property in downtown Walnut Creek where it will be building its future headquarters. One Planet's decision to rebrand seemed timely given its leap in organizational sophistication and growth of its operations. The new visual identity is a reflection of the company's transformative growth and the underlying spiritual values fueling it.
The visual concept of the new brand was inspired by the 1990 Voyager 1 space probe, where a photograph of the earth was taken at a distance of six billion kilometers away. The Pale Blue Dot, as it is known, reminds us that we are all in this together, and that kindness and compassion are essential for survival, including in business. The new serif logo is joined by a "1" and closed by the pale blue dot. For One Planet, the pale blue dot becomes a reminder of our spirituality, that we are all one, and that our intentions and actions will leave a mark on the world. As a visual asset, it transfers across the three streams of the business – operate, fund and incubate – to position One Planet as a new kind of leader, one that challenges traditional business mindsets and reconciles primitive notions that pit the good of the business against the betterment of humanity.
"The workplace culture, the relationships it engenders and the products and services an organization delivers all should combine to form a collective contribution to the common good," says founder, chairman and CEO, Payam Zamani.
