One Loudoun Hosts "A Salute To Our Troops" Race And Walk

More than 1600 people expected for race and family fun walk to benefit Ringing In Hope

ASHBURN, Va., March 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- One Loudoun is proud to announce the community will host "A Salute To Our Troops" Race to benefit Ringing in Hope. This year's race will be held on Monday, May 26^th (Memorial Day) starting with the 5K at 8 am, 10K at 8:10 am and the 1K fun run/walk at 9:30 am. The course starts at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and takes race participants through a scenic course within the new neighborhoods and downtown area of One Loudoun.

"We invite our friends and neighbors to join the fun and make this Memorial Day celebration a truly memorable one by running, jogging or walking to support our military troops and their families," said Bill May, Vice President, One Loudoun. "We're delighted to be the new location for this important event. It's a great example of the community coming together to make a difference."

Ringing In Hope is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the efforts and services of local charities in the community. This year's race beneficiaries include the Wounded Warrior Project and Operation Renewed Hope Foundation – both charities provide essential services to military men, women and families. One hundred percent of all funds raised on behalf of each participating charity will be received by that charity.

Participants will enjoy family fun activities, free massages, music, team challenges and more. Great raffles prizes from participating merchants, restaurants and sponsors will be awarded throughout the event. Following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top racers.
