PITTSBURGH, Jan. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The deadline for entries to enter The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition for high school seniors is January 20, 2012.
Around the country, fashion designs and retail plans are coming to fruition in the minds of high school seniors who are competing for local scholarships with their sights on the grand prizes: The two national competition grand prize winners (one in each competition category) will earn a half-tuition scholarship to their respective Art Institutes school, receive a VIP trip to New York City, participate in a "meet and greet" at Seventeen magazine's New York City offices, have lunch with a Seventeen Style Pro, receive a $500 shopping spree at DKNY with the Style Pro, and a $500 gift card to shop anywhere in the Big Apple.
High school seniors interested in a career in fashion are most likely working on their entries for a rush to the finish or completing their final plan on how to create the winning entry. "The Passion for Fashion Competition offers young fashionistas the opportunity to match their skills against others who share their passion and to earn a fashion tuition scholarship to an Art Institutes school," said John Pufahl, Vice President of Academic Affairs for The Art Institutes.
