CLEVELAND, July 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Searcy, Arkansas-based Harding University has selected OnBase by Hyland, an industry leading enterprise information platform, to seamlessly replace the institution's existing content management system. After converting from Nolij, which was recently acquired by Hyland, OnBase will support areas of enrollment management – admissions, registrar, financial aid and student life – and the Provost Office, providing the foundation for future workflow solutions, form functionality and business process automation.
Harding University is rolling out a simultaneous installation and conversion, beginning in the Registrar's Office – a high-volume area. OnBase will integrate with the institution's current enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Banner by Ellucian, and provide secure, immediate access to electronic student documents to optimize communications and efficiency for Harding University administrative employees.
"As a growing university, we have areas that need to be automated and more user friendly. We selected OnBase for its breadth and depth to support us now and in the future," said Mike Chalenburg, assistant vice president, information systems and technology at Harding University. "Hyland's long-standing position within the industry was a draw for us as was their cross-vertical expertise, which will serve us well in both academic and business departments across campus."
The institution's Strategic Plan places an emphasis on exploring technologies that lead to a change in operational efficiencies and advance teaching and learning. Following the initial rollout, Harding University will continue to build on OnBase workflow and electronic form functionalities to fulfill the objective of driving success by streamlining processes, connecting information and providing better student service.
"Our team at Hyland is working closely with Harding University Information Systems and Technology to continue supporting their ongoing goal of excellent service and capability through the use of technology," said Dave Vegh, director, higher education practice at Hyland. "With OnBase, Harding University has a foundation that will grow with them as they expand the technology and connect departments across the institution to help drive student success."
