SAN FRANCISCO, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ON24, the global leader in webinars and virtual communication solutions, today announced two new webcasts for training and leadership development professionals.
Hosted by Tom Masotto, Vice President of Product Management for ON24, "Virtual Learning Environments: Redefining the Training Experience" is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific / 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and "Best Practices for Virtual Leadership Development" is scheduled for Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Pacific / 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. These free webinars are designed to address the effectiveness of virtual solutions for applications such as onboarding, sales training and leadership development.
These informative online events will explore current trends, provide best practices and offer actionable tips for HR and training professionals:
- "Virtual Learning Environments: Redefining the Training Experience" will illustrate how to re-engage employees by providing easy access to interactive training programs and will demonstrate how virtual training enhances retention and improves learning outcomes. Attendees will learn how to enhance and extend learning management systems and how virtual environments are redefining the learning experience. Content will also include best practices for developing a virtual learning strategy within an organization.
- "Best Practices for Virtual Leadership Development" will discuss the deficit of emerging leaders and other leadership challenges in global organizations and explore alternative approaches to leadership development. Also hosted by Chief Learning Officer, this webcast will discuss best practices for using virtual environments to reach global leaders faster and more cost-effectively and how to provide busy leaders with more flexibility and more tightly integrate learning with daily work.
A recent survey conducted by Redshift Research and ON24 revealed that an increasingly global and mobile workforce is driving the demand for virtual learning, said some 47 percent of respondents. With employees scattered across multiple time zones, the importance of scheduling flexibility (40 percent) and the need for more regular training (37 percent) were also highlighted as driving the demand for virtual training and talent development.
"Our own research shows that companies around the world are clamoring for strategies and solutions when it comes to virtual training and career development," observed Lars Christensen, ON24 Vice President of Marketing. "The implementation of online training and development via webcasts and virtual learning environments makes sense—and these free webinars will provide useful, actionable information to HR pros who are looking for answers."
The research findings are summarized in this infographic: "The Most Effective Talent Development Strategies."
