On May 11, Fuddruckers® Drives Through the Spotlight With Submission at the Internationally Renowned, 26th Annual Houston Art Car Parade

HOUSTON, May 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Fuddruckers®, home of the "World's Greatest Hamburgers®", is cooking up a surprise for hometown fans this weekend, as the fast casual chain rolls into the 26^th Annual Houston Art Car Parade for the second time. Created around the concept of "Building a Burger World," the mobile sculpture was conceived by employee Brandon Limanni and artist Joe Mack. Fifteen volunteers from the headquarters marketing team invested upwards of 300 hours to transform a classic VW bug by integrating a new, yellow pepper color scheme, American flag guitars, vintage suitcases, fire engine red brand messaging and more than 4,000 bottle caps donated by another local favorite, Saint Arnold Brewing Company. The Art Car was further customized with a four-foot fiberglass earth roof topper, incorporating rotating cheeseburgers.

According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer, "The Art Car Parade is one of Houston's most celebrated happenings and an opportunity for the city to showcase its creative side for 300,000 spectators. Under the guidance of the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, the Houston Art Car Parade has become the oldest and longest parade of its kind in the world. The event has received national and international attention as being the premier celebration of self-expression and "the drive to create." Last year's parade drew a record number of participants, including more than 100 entries that have never participated before.
