The All Austin Talent Showcase will be held Friday, March 18, at the popular Saxon Pub. The official SXSW Showcase will feature six acts representing the multiple genres for which Austin has become famous, including Jackie Venson, a 2016 Austin Chronicle "Clicks 2 Pick" recommendation (http://www.austinchronicle.com/music/2016-03-04/seven-the-hard-way-jackie-venson/). The All Austin Talent Showcase begins at 8:00 p.m. Badges and wristbands are given first priority, although tickets are available for the entire evening for $10 at the door. The Saxon Pub is located at 1320 S. Lamar Blvd. in Austin.
TuneGO was created for artists who aspire to work with some of the music industry's top producers, play exclusive live events, secure a recording contract, and attract more fans. TuneGO is LinkedIn for artists, a haven for serious musicians on the rise and a veritable farm system for the music business, with genuine potential to reshape the industry landscape.
"Austin is internationally known as a hotbed of musical talent and we're proud to focus exclusively on Austin talent for SXSW," said Nancy Coplin, AAD partner. "We're delighted that all six artists are working with TuneGO, an important new platform for musicians who need to be heard and supported. While they represent various genres, what all six share is outsized talent."
"TuneGO truly is an extension of the music industry, and there is no more exciting venue to discover and nurture talent than SXSW," said John Kohl, CEO, TuneGO. "With our platform, for the first time artists can feel confident that someone is listening, someone who can actually matter to their future. We fill gaps in the market for music professionals, for consumers, and for fans by offering new channels to find and support up-and-coming artists. That's the very same spirit that animates The All Austin Talent Showcase."
