On Call International Appoints Jim Hutton and Bruce Kirby to Newly-Formed Board of Directors
Company Expands Corporate Travel Risk Management Services in Response to Rising Demand
SALEM, N.H., Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Call International, a leading provider of customized travel risk management services, today announced the appointment of Jim Hutton and Bruce Kirby to the company's newly-formed Board of Directors. Hutton and Kirby join On Call at a critical juncture in the company's growth, as it continues to expand its portfolio of corporate services in response to rising demand. Hutton, former Chief Security Officer and Director of Global Security for Procter and Gamble, will spearhead development of the company's global intelligence capabilities, while Kirby, President of MediTRAVEL, will oversee expansion of On Call's full corporate travel risk management portfolio.
"International business travel is on the rise and corporations are turning to On Call to protect the health and safety of employees abroad while mitigating legal, financial and reputational risks at home," said Michael J. Kelly, CEO, On Call International. "We are pleased to tap the vast experience, networks and strategic insights of both Bruce and Jim as we continue to expand our portfolio to meet the needs of our corporate clients."
With more than 30 years of security industry expertise – with 10 of those years being with the Diplomatic Security Service – Hutton is recognized as a leading voice in corporate risk management. Hutton has held leadership roles on the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), a forum that provides security guidance to U.S. businesses abroad, and remains a member of the OSAC Alumni Committee. He has also served as a member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Domestic Security Alliance Council and the Security Executive Council. As Procter and Gamble's senior security executive, Hutton oversaw worldwide security direction and consultation for the multi-billion dollar enterprise starting in 2006, where he lead the company's Global Crisis Management Team and was a founding member of the firm's Enterprise Risk Management Team. Security Magazine named Procter and Gamble Global Security as a Best Managed Security Program in 2010 and Hutton was named one of the 25 Most Influential People in Security by the publication in 2009.
Kirby brings more than 30 years of experience in the travel risk management industry to his position with On Call, including nearly 15 years at the helm of MEDEX Global Group, a leading provider of emergency medical, travel and security assistance, remote medical solutions and travel insurance. During his tenure with MEDEX, Kirby led the company through a series of acquisitions resulting in nine straight years of double-digit growth and profit. Kirby also served as the immediate past president of the U.S. Travel Insurance Association from 2012 to 2014.
