Omnicom Health Group's Edward Frankel honored by the 4A's Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) for leadership in talent diversity and inclusion
Recognized with 2017 MAIP Pantheon Award
NEW YORK, Aug. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward Frankel, SVP Director of Talent Acquisition for Omnicom Health Group, was honored by the 4A's Multicultural Advertising Internship Program (MAIP) as part of the 4A's annual "The Face of Talent" diversity leadership luncheon.
Frankel received the Pantheon Award, which is given to a transformational leader who is highly regarded as a cultivator, supporter, and champion of multicultural talent in the advertising and media industry. Frankel is the first and only healthcare-dedicated agency leader to be recognized with the award.
According to Carl Desir, Vice President of Talent Initiatives for the 4A's, "Ed is clearly committed to finding the best and brightest multicultural talent for the OHG network. He champions MAIP fellows and alumni, and he's increased OHG's participation in MAIP significantly over the last 3 years."
Frankel established Omnicom Health Group's relationship with MAIP in 2013. Since then, OHG has sponsored over 25 MAIP fellows who have interned at Omnicom Health Group agencies, including CDM, DDB Health, Entrée Health, Patients & Purpose, TBWA\WorldHealth, and SSCG Media Group. Many of OHG's MAIP fellows have become full-time agency employees.
"Ed's been a persistent and positive force for talent inclusiveness," said Ed Wise, CEO of Omnicom Health Group. "He introduced us to MAIP, where we don't just get better talent. We also get talent that makes us better."
In addition to driving MAIP internships, Frankel and OHG have hosted a MAIP Spring Training event for fellows, held a MAIP Lab, sponsored the MAIP Summer Intern Project, and are sponsors of MAIP Cares Day, taking place this Thursday at City Meals on Wheels in NYC.
"Ed's passion for MAIP and the participants themselves is infectious," said Carolyn Bartholdson, Chief Human Resource Officer for OHG. "He's made it a personal mission to change 'the face of talent' at our agencies. He doesn't just oversee the program. He mentors and teaches, too. We couldn't be prouder or more thankful for him. And we're grateful that MAIP chose to honor him."
In addition to Frankel's 2017 honor, Omnicom Health Group was also recognized as MAIP's Agency of the Year in 2016.
