Omnicom Group Agencies Crown The Gunn Report 2010 and Capture Top Spots at The International Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness (AME) Awards

Omnicom Group Named Parent Company of the Year
NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE: OMC) agencies BBDO, DDB and TBWA led The Gunn Report 2010, finishing with three of the top five honors in both the Most Awarded Network in the World and Most Awarded Digital Agency in the World competitions.
For the fifth straight year, BBDO was named Most Awarded Network in the World. DDB was ranked the second Most Awarded Network, followed by TBWA in fifth place. Since 1999 only four networks have ever led The Gunn Report network table, and with one exception all have been the Omnicom networks BBDO, DDB or TBWA.
The Most Awarded Digital Agency in the World was DDB Stockholm, while DDB UK and Goodby Silverstein & Partners also finished within the top five. Another Omnicom Group agency, AlmapBBDO, captured Most Awarded Agency in the World.
In addition, Omnicom agencies were credited with five of the top 10 print campaigns, three of the top 10 digital campaigns, 10 of the top 20 agency rankings, and nine of the top 20 digital agency rankings in the world.
At the 2011 International AME Awards, DDB won the Grand AME for client Volkswagen's "The Fun Theory." Three of the four highly coveted Platinum Awards also went to Omnicom companies, with the North American Platinum Award handed to Zimmerman Advertising for Lane Bryant's "Not what Mom had in mind," the European Platinum to DDB Stockholm for Volkswagen's "The Fun Theory," and the Asia Pacific Platinum to TBWA/Hakuhodo Adidas's "Sky Comic."
DDB Stockholm also won the 2011 Green AME Award for "The Fun Theory" campaign for Volkswagen.
Earlier this month at the Campaign Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year awards, the performance of Omnicom agencies across the region earned Omnicom recognition as Parent Company of the Year. In the regional awards, Campaign noted, "Omnicom owned agencies almost completed a clean sweep, led by PHD, which was awarded the Media Network of the Year for the second year running, and DDB, which was named the Creative Network of the Year."
Also at the AOY awards, Tribal DDB was named Digital Agency Network of the Year, followed by Proximity in third place and Tequila in fourth place, while Rapp came second in the Specialist Agency Network of the Year runoff.
