The Golf Channel Academy at the Tom Fazio-designed Long Point Golf Course is a hands-on extension of the cable network's instruction programming and is directed by Ed Bowe.

The Golf Channel Academy program offers a private practice range featuring grass tees, pyramid-stacked balls and a well-targeted landing area. The short-game area includes a sand bunker for practicing fairway recovery shots.
The program hosts the latest in teaching technology with video swing analysis and a FlightScope launch monitor providing the most accurate feedback available as well as a TOMI putting training system.
Bowe is a Class A PGA member with more than 25 years of teaching experience. He has traveled throughout the world learning from World Golf Hall of Famers John Jacobs and Hank Haney. Prior to relocating to Amelia Island in 2007, Bowe worked with Hank Haney Golf as a PRO5 Certified Instructor, as the Director of Instructor Training for ESPN Golf Schools and as Director of Instruction at the Golf Digest Schools. He also has been a featured instructor for ESPN Classic's "ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic."
