Oltmans Construction Co. Hires John Hanson to Lead Northern California Team

MENLO PARK, Calif., Oct. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Expanding its presence in Northern California, Oltmans Construction Co., a leading U.S. industrial and commercial general contractor, today announced that John Hanson has joined the company as regional manager of the Menlo Park office.

Hanson, who will work on securing new business and managing existing projects, brings nearly 40 years of experience in general contracting, real estate development and construction to Oltmans. Specifically, he has managed the development and construction of more than 20 million square feet of projects, including office buildings, restaurants, banks, churches and call centers as well as educational, manufacturing and biomedical facilities. Most of these projects were completed in the Silicon Valley area.

Oltmans has completed construction of more than 11 buildings in Northern California, such as Menlo Business Park, Livermore Distribution Center, Kellogg USA and Restaurant Depot.

Hanson most recently was a first vice president for Prologis, an owner and developer of distribution facilities. His industry experience includes roles in management operations, business development, field operations, feasibility studies for acquisitions, new development programming and overall project management of new development and built to suit facilities throughout the Western U.S. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education and Technology and completed post-graduate studies in Industrial Management from Western Illinois University.
