Oldcastle SurePods™ Prefabricated Bathrooms Combat Schedule Challenges and Prove Reliability for Fair Haven Retirement Community Project

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Golden Construction recognized as a pioneer in progressive construction practices set out to use prefabrication on the Fair Haven Retirement Community to counterbalance a extremely aggressive schedule. The $42 million project consists of more than 200,000 sq. ft., including renovation of the existing campus and new senior living buildings. The 110 fully outfitted and functional Oldcastle SurePods™ prefab bathroom pods were manufactured in Oldcastle's Orlando facility and shipped to the project site in Birmingham. Manufacturing bathrooms in a dedicated plant vs. in the field allows for higher quality and consistency. Oldcastle SurePods™ consolidate more than 10 trades - including electrical, plumbing and finishing work – into one prefabricated product. The prefabricated bathrooms are easy to lift, place and install, which helps save project developers time and money.
