Old Mutual Names William Tsotsos To Lead Institutional Sales Efforts In Canada

BOSTON, Aug. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM), the U.S.-based global asset management business of Old Mutual plc, announced today that William Tsotsos has been named Senior Vice President and Head of Canada to lead the organization's marketing efforts in the Canadian institutional marketplace.
In his new role, Mr. Tsotsos will focus on introducing the diverse investment capabilities of OMAM's nine affiliate firms to institutional investors through the plan sponsor, consultant and sub-advisory channels. OMAM's affiliates specialize in a wide range of investment strategies including: U.S. growth and value equity products; global, international, emerging market equity and fixed income solutions; and a number of alternative investments. These strategies are offered through leading boutique asset managers including: Acadian Asset Management, Barrow Hanley Mewhinney & Strauss, The Campbell Group, Copper Rock Capital Partners, Echo Point Investment Management, Heitman LLC, Investment Counselors of Maryland, Rogge Global Partners and Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley.

Mr. Tsotsos joins Old Mutual Asset Management International after five years as a Managing Director at Baring Asset Management, where he served as senior relationship director responsible for business development, consultant relations and client service in Canada and the U.S. Prior to that, he was Director of Institutional Sales at Scotia Cassels Investment Management Ltd. Mr. Tsotsos has also held senior sales and client service positions at PIMCO Canada and Standard Life Investments Inc. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an M.B.A. from Queens University.
