Old Mutual Asset Management Appoints John Harrington as Director of U.S. Consultant Relations

BOSTON, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM), the U.S.-based global asset management business of Old Mutual plc, announced today that it has named John Harrington as Vice President and Director of U.S. Consultant Relations. Mr. Harrington's appointment is the latest in a recent series of hires that underscore OMAM's continued commitment to its global distribution strategy.

In his new role, Mr. Harrington is responsible for providing consultants with greater insight and transparency into OMAM's strategy as well as its broad range of Affiliate investment capabilities.  He will be based in Boston and report to Brian Carroll, Head of U.S. Distribution.

Prior to joining OMAM, Mr. Harrington held various consultant relations positions, including Vice President, Consultant Relations and Sales (E&F) for Acadian Asset Management, an OMAM affiliated firm. Mr. Harrington launched his career 20 years ago with Fidelity Investments after receiving a B.A. in English from Boston College. He also holds an M.B.A and an M.S. in Finance from Boston College's Carroll School of Management and a Masters in Anglo-Irish Literature from University College in Dublin.
